SC17 will continue to broaden its mission to build a strong and diverse HPC student community, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. A special student-centric program at SC17 will include professional development programs, opportunities to learn from mentors, and engagement with SC’s technical sessions. By encouraging a strong student community centered around HPC, the SC17 Students@SC program helps ease the transition into the broader professional community.
Activities at SC17 will include the Student Cluster Competition, a structured mentor-protégé program, a job fair for students and postdocs, an engaging Student Volunteer program, and other student professional development activities. Within the SC17 Technical Program, the ACM Student Poster Competition and Doctoral Showcase tracks are oriented specifically toward students and will be coordinated with the 2017 Students@SC program.
