This year SC archives companion materials at the conference website. This webpage contains the peer-review materials accepted to several Technical Programs as well as the links to several workshops. This webpage will remain in place after the conference ends. Click here for the ACM Digital Library SC17 Proceedings.
Technical Program Posters
The SC17 Technical Posters Program received 169 poster submissions, which covered a wide variety of research topics in HPC. The Poster Committee reviewed the submissions and selected 99 posters that are archived in this webpage, reflecting an average acceptance rate of about 59%. ACM Student Research Competition Posters
SC17 hosted the ACM Student Research Competition (SRC) Poster Program, where 28 student-developed posters selected after a rigorous peer-review process from 59 submissions were on display and competed for the best graduate and undergraduate student poster awards. The selected posters are archived in this webpage. Click here to see the ACM Student Research Competition Posters.
Doctoral Showcase
The SC17 Doctoral Showcase received 30 submissions that underwent rigorous peer review. As a result of this competitive process, 14 students were selected to present their PhD research in the Showcase. Click here to see the Doctoral Showcase .
Workshops
SC17 included 37 full-day and half-day workshops that complemented the overall Technical Program events, expanded the knowledge base of its subject area, and extended its impact by providing greater depth of focus. The workshops covered a broad range of subjects that address a variety of large-scale computing challenges, software engineering, dealing with very large amounts of data, visualization, algorithms, programming tools and techniques, and the application of HPC in new domains. Birds of a Feather
SC17 included 77 Birds of a Feather sessions that provided a non-commercial, dynamic venue for conference attendees to openly discuss current topics of focused mutual interest within the HPC community with a strong emphasis on audience-driven discussion, professional networking and grassroots participation that complemented the overall Technical Program events, expanded the knowledge base of its subject area, and extended its impact by providing greater depth of focus. Scientific Visualization & Data Analytics Showcase
SC17’s Visualization and Data Analytics Showcase Program provided a forum for the year’s most instrumental movies in HPC, displaying the latest in science and engineering HPC results expressed through state-of-the-art visualization technologies. Eight finalists were selected and competed for the Best Visualization Award. Their videos were shown on display throughout the conference. Scientific Visualization and Data Analytics Showcase videos and short videos will soon be available. Click here to see Scientific Visualization & Data Analytics Showcase.
