Dr. Happy Sithole is the Director for the Center for High Performance Computing in South Africa. He holds a PhD in Physics based on Computer Simulation studies. Dr. Sithole has previously been a Senior lecturer at the Physics Department at University of Limpopo. He moved to industry, where he worked as a Research Scientist at De Beers Consolidated Mines focusing on Process Optimization. He later worked as a Senior Process Engineer at Pebble-Bed Modular Reactor (Pty) Ltd, driving the Verification and Validation of the design of the New Generation Nuclear Plants. Dr. Sithole sits in a number of advisory bodies on ICT in South Africa and internationally.
