Jiwu Shu received the PhD degree in computer science from Nanjing University in 1998, and finished the postdoctoral position research at Tsinghua University in 2000. Since then, he has been teaching at Tsinghua University, and is currently a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University. His current research interests include network storage systems, nonvolatile memory-based storage systems, storage security and reliability, and parallel and distributed computing. He is a senior member of the IEEE.
