Ian Karlin is a computer scientist in Livermore Computing at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). His work primarily focuses on the performance optimization of applications and optimizing system procurements for a target application workload mix. Currently he co-leads the CORAL-2 benchmark team for LLNL. He is also the deputy for the institutional Center of Excellence aimed at porting strategically important LLNL applications to the forthcoming Sierra supercomputer.

Ian received a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2011.
