Stephen Jarvis
Biography
Stephen Jarvis is Professor of High Performance Computing
at the University of Warwick and co-organiser for one of
the UK's High End Scientific Computing Training Centers.
He has authored more than 140 refereed publications
(including three books) and has been a member of more than
50 program committees for IEEE/ACM international
conferences and workshops since 2003, including: IPDPS,
HPDC, CCGrid, SC, DSN, ICPP. Before joining Warwick he
held a Lectureship at the University of Oxford; in 2009 he
was awarded a prestigious Royal Society Industry
Fellowship in support of his industry-focused research on
HPC. In 2013, collaborative work with the US National
Laboratories led to a R&D Top 100 award, widely recognised
as an 'Oscar of Innovation'. Professor Jarvis currently
holds a William Penney Research Fellowship, in
acknowledgement of his work on HPC with the UK MOD.
