Dr. Paola Grosso is assistant professor in the System and Network Engineering (SNE) group at the University of Amsterdam. Dr. Grosso received her Ph.D in Physics from the University of Turin in Italy. She is the lead researcher of all the group activities in the field of smart e-Infrastructures, information modeling and GreenIT. Her research interests lie in the creation of sustainable e-Infrastructures, that rely on the provisioning and design of programmable networks. She participates in meetings of several standardization bodies. Previously, she has been a member of the SC organizing committee for SCinet for 5 years. She has been involved in several FP-7 projects, namely NOVI, ENVRI, Geysers and MOTE. She was involved in the CineGrid project for the design of network lightpaths architecture for 4K and beyond Digital cinemas. She participates in several national and international projects, such as COMMIT, Greening the Cloud, SARNET, GN4 and ENVRIPLUS.
