Adam Fidel
Biography
Adam Fidel is a PhD student in the Department of Computer
Science and
Engineering at Texas A&M University working with Dr. Nancy Amato and Dr.
Lawrence Rauchwerger in the Parasol Lab. He received his Bachelor of Science in
Computer Science from Texas Tech University in 2010. His research interests
include parallel programming, high-performance computing and parallel graph
algorithms. Fidel’s dissertation work focuses on asynchronous graph algorithms and nested parallelism in graph workloads.
Fidel's work has received the conference Best Paper Award at
Parallel Architectures and Compilation Techniques (PACT) 2014 and was a Best
Paper Finalist at PACT 2015. Fidel received the 2012 Teaching Assistant Teaching Excellence Award in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M. He interned at Google where his work focused on asynchronous graph processing for massive-scale graphs.
