Kevin Barker
Biography
Kevin Barker is currently a scientist at the Pacific
Northwest National Laboratory. Prior to this he was in the
Performance and Architecture Lab (PAL) at the Los Alamos
National Laboratory. He completed his Ph.D. in computer
science at the College of William and Mary specializing in
the area of dynamic load balancing systems for highly
adaptive parallel applications. He has been active in the
research community in the areas surrounding dynamic load
balancing, application performance modeling, and systems
performance analysis. Kevin has worked on projects funded
by the U.S. DOE, DARPA, and the NSF. His current research
involves modeling and analyzing the performance of
large-scale parallel applications on muli-petascale and
hybrid/accelerated systems.
