Exhibitor Description
The move to multicore and plans for exascale are driving the need for new parallel programming models. The Partitioned Global Address Space (PGAS) booth represents a group of researchers and developers working on these programming models, including languages such as UPC, Co-Array Fortran, X10, Chapel, Habanero and XcalableMP; and libraries such as UPC++, Open SHMEM and GPI. PGAS programming models provide locality control and scalability with the convenience of a global address space. The PGAS booth features representatives from various language and library teams, posters and presentations on the design and application of these models, and software from open source implementations.
