DescriptionIn an effort to discover reduce power dissipation in computing devices we aim to use the charge based computing paradigm of Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA). The interactions between neighboring cells containing quantum dots enables general-purpose computing. The clock and other inputs excite the system causing it to vibrate which requires QCA to relax the system to its ground state so calculations can be performed. This occurs primarily through environmental coupling. In order to find the correct parameters to reach lower power dissipations we modeled this coupling. We chose to model a 3-dot cell system using the Lindblad equation and power equations. These calculations are complex and intensive requiring the use of high performance computing. This method is effective as it continues to determine optimal environmental coupling levels. I will present by giving a summarized walkthrough of my poster along with a QR code linking to a video walkthrough of it.
