Tomo-Hiko Watanabe is a professor at the Department of Physics in Nagoya University. He received his Ph.D. degree in 1993 from Tohoku University. He has long and wide experiences in the fields of space and fusion plasma simulations. He has published many papers in Phys. Rev. Lett., Phys. Plasmas, Nucl. Fusion, J. Geophys. Res., etc., and his works are involved not only in plasma physics but also in the computational physics and the development of numerical algorithms. His current research interests are in high performance computing and its application to fusion and space plasmas.
