Farzad Khorasani
Biography
Farzad Khorasani is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Georgia Institute of Technology, working with Prof. Vivek Sarkar. The main focus of his research is high performance software design for GPUs. Due to the heterogeneous nature of his research, Farzad has experience in related areas including microarchitecture, compiler optimizations and software libraries. Currently at GaTech, he is looking at challenges regarding efficient GPU utilization for machine learning purposes. Farzad was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Rice University during 2016-2017 academic year. He received his PhD in Computer Science from University of California Riverside under supervision of Dr. Rajiv Gupta, and his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran.
