Shoaib Kamil's is a Senior Research Scientist at Adobe Research, where his work spans the areas of high performance programming and computing, domain specific languages and compilers, and program synthesis. Most recently, he was a research scientist at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, working with Profs. Saman Amarasinghe and Armando Solar-Lezama. Prior to MIT, he obtained his PhD from the University of California at Berkeley as part of the Parallel Computing Laboratory, funded by Intel and Microsoft. He has also worked at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory on large-scale codes running on supercomputers for climate simulation, among other applications.
