Giorgis Georgakoudis is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Centre for Data Science and Scalable Computing (DSSC) at Queen’s University Belfast, UK. He has obtained Dipl. Eng. (2007), MEng. (2010) and PhD (2017) degrees from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in University of Thessaly, Greece. Giorgis has extensive research experience working in several projects funded among others by EPSRC and EU. He has worked in affiliation or collaboration with leading research institutions, including CERTH and FORTH, Greece and LLNL, USA. Giorgis has authored several papers in refereed conferences and journals, and serves regularly as a reviewer in a few of them. His research interests are in system software for parallelization and acceleration, HPC architectures, and hardware/software co-design. Giorgis is also a member of ACM and IEEE professional societies.
