Brad Beckmann is a member of AMD Research and works in Bellevue, WA. Brad completed his PhD degree in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006 where his doctoral research focused on physical and logical solutions to wire delay in CMP caches. From 2006-2007, Brad was a software development engineer in the Windows Server Performance team at Microsoft. Since 2007, Brad has worked at AMD Research on numerous projects related to memory consistency models, cache coherence, graphics, and on-chip networks. Currently, he is the technical lead for a team of researchers focused on GPU compute solutions that broaden the impact of future AMD Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) technology.
