15th Graph500 List
Authors: Dr. Richard Murphy (Micron Technology Inc)

Abstract: Data intensive supercomputer applications are increasingly important workloads, especially for “Big Data” problems, but are ill suited for most of today’s computing platforms (at any scale!). As the Graph500 list has surpassed 200 entries, it has demonstrated the challenges of even simple analytics. Backed by a steering committee of 30 international HPC experts from academia, industry, and national laboratories, this effort serves to enhance data intensive workloads for the community. This BoF will unveil the 15th Graph500 list, initial rankings for the new SSSP kernel released at ISC2017, and enhance the new energy metrics the Green Graph500.
Long Description: Data intensive supercomputer applications are increasingly important workloads, especially for “Big Data” problems, but are ill suited for most of today’s computing platforms (at any scale!). It offers a forum for community and provide a rallying point for data intensive supercomputing problems. This is the first serious approach to complement the Top 500 with data intensive applications.
The Graph500 group will additionally take feedback on the emerging SSSP kernel and proposals for a streaming analytics specification that have emerged from community interaction.
Past BOF interactions have been integrated into these specifications and future specifications will continue this integration. BOF materials and results will be made available to the community.
