The Message Passing Interface: On the Road to MPI 4.0 and Beyond

Authors: Prof. Martin Schulz (Technical University Munich)

BP
Abstract: The Message Passing Interface (MPI) is one of the most dominant programming models for HPC environments. Its specification is driven by the MPI Forum, an open forum consisting of MPI developers, vendors and users. This BoF Meeting will provide some insight into the current topics discussed in the forum as well as the process of how features are added to the standard. It is intended to keep the larger HPC community informed about current activities and long-term directions, as well as encourage larger community participation in this crucial standard for the supercomputing community.
