Here are some important reminders about technical paper submissions.
The official paper submission deadline is April 3, with an automatic extension until April 10 … and no extensions beyond April 10, 11:59 pm anywhere-on-earth (AOE).
While papers are due on April 10, conflict-of-interest (COI) declarations are due on April 3! ALL AUTHORS SHOULD SUBMIT COI DECLARATIONS by April 3.
How do you enter your COIs? After you log into the submission site, look for the “My People Conflicts” tab. Under it, there is a “Likely Conflicts” feature and a “Search for People” feature. “Likely Conflicts” shows the names of people (including reviewers) with whom the submission system thinks you may have conflicts. Alternatively (or in addition), you can enter a list of your conflicts using the “Search for People” feature. (For instance, many Principal Investigators already maintain such lists.) Lastly, recall that SC16 is using a double-blind peer review process. We have noticed that some early submissions are leaving the author names and institutions in the submitted PDF, which violates the double-blind guidelines.
